| Q. |
Why should I buy music from your website when it’s freely available from many forums? |
|
All the downloads available on our website are legal and we have acquired rights to sell these tracks legally. Music downloads available for free on most of the forums are illegal and comes under piracy. |
| Q. |
What is the bitrate? |
|
Bit-rate refers to the average amount of data which is used by one second of audio. Bit-rate is measured by kilobits per second (1Kbps = 1000 bits/sec). Most people use an WMA with 128 kilobits per second, which is the benchmark for a good quality playback. A general rule to follow is “the higher the bit-rate, the better the sound.” |
| Q. |
What is the difference between stereo and 5.1 channel? |
|
Stereo means sound which is divided into two separate channels. These two channels are played back simultaneously via separate speakers. The effect is to create a fuller sound, and provide the ability to mix certain sounds between channels.
5.1 means that the soundtracks are recorded with five main channels: left, center, right, left surround, and right surround, plus a low-frequency effects (LFE) bass channel (called a ".1" channel because it covers only a fraction of the frequency range of the main channels). |

What is DRM? |
|
Microsoft Windows Media digital rights management (DRM) is a flexible platform that makes it possible to protect and securely deliver content by subscription or by individual request for playback on a computer, portable device, or network device. |
| Q. |
Can I transfer my music to portable players? |
|
Yes. All our media files are in DRM-protected WMA format. Most of the portable players available in the market support DRM and WMA. |
| Q. |
Can I pass these files to my friends? |
|
No. As all our files are DRM protected, they can be played only on your system. |
Streaming
| Q. |
I am unable to listen the songs downloaded from your website. What are the system requirements to listen these songs? |
|
We are using Windows Media Streaming. You need a player which supports Windows Media streaming like Windows Media Player, Real Player etc., Your internet connection should be at least of speed 64kbps to reduce buffering. |
| Q. |
What is streaming? |
|
It is a technical term used to describe the way the audio digital files are transferred from our servers to the end user computers. It’s okay if the following looks gibberish and doesn’t make any sense to you. :)
A stream is a way of thinking about digital information for which there may be no ending point. The most conventional form of digital information is the file. Files always have a beginning and an end, but streams may or may not, and therefore software which uses streams must not require finding the end of the file in order to process it. Streams are usually delivered in packets which are self-contained, and usually allow seeking (i.e. fast forward) for further points in the streams. They are particularly important when dealing with large sizes of digital information, so most video and audio on the Internet is streamed. |
| Q. |
What is buffering? |
|
This is another technical term.
Players that read streaming media must first process a certain amount of the stream (at least one packet) in order to display anything. The buffer is a word for computer memory that stores digital information that will later be processed. The computer memory can either be in the form of RAM or a partial temporary file that the media player constructs from the stream. Buffers in streaming media players usually will store a certain number of seconds of information, to avoid jerky on-off playback; if the media player runs at a certain rate, and there is some latency (i.e. intermittent interruptions or slower downloading) in the stream, the display process will run more smoothly if there is a fair amount of information in the buffer before the playing begins. Of course, if the rate at which the stream comes in is too slow, there will inevitably be some interruptions in the playback, but if there is a lot stored in the buffer, the periods of play before interruptions will be long enough to be intelligible. |
